How to Create Outdoor Winter Games for Children

While winter can be chilly, it also can bring plenty of diversions in the great white snowy outdoors. Bring some children and their friends, creativity and plenty of energy for a splendid afternoon of building snowmen, sledding or even just some gliding on the ice. Here are some great ideas to entertain kids of all ages.

Step 1

Host a snowman making contest. This is great for birthday parties or even an early New Year's day party. Gather together about three children per group if there is a large number of children. Be sure that there are extra scarves, carrots, items for buttons and eyes, food coloring, twigs or anything else creative that the children can come up with to create their snowman. Have a digital camera on hand for taking pictures. Have another adult judge the contest and give away small party favors as prizes.

Step2
Take up a winter battle in snow wars. Split up the children into two teams. Let them build snow forts or other places to hide. Be sure that you include rules before the games even begin. Stress that no ice should be inside the snowballs, and to not throw snowballs to hurt anybody. Let them know that any child who throws with force or intentions to hurt will be kicked out of the game. Play the snow war like tag. Once hit, the player is out. The team with the most players left is the winner. Finish off the game with plenty of hot chocolate and some time by the fire or warm heat.

Winter Memories....

Remember those fun times as a child in the snow? The winter wonderland allows so much opportunity to do things for children, and even adults. Children can spend time creating snowmen, snow angels, and even making forts to have snowball wars.

Some of the best fun can even be had on little motorbikes or scooters. One little child in this youtube video gets his chance for a ride after dad in the snow on their bike. Something like this could be a little boy's dream...

Check out SUNL fun video to see these guys riding through the snow.... After watching this video, if you show it to your children, they may be wanting a bike to ride in the snow too!

I wish I would have had one of these motorbikes as a child to walk through the drifting snow! In the country, we used to have to park at the end of our long drive in the country and tread through the blowing snow... A little bike would have got us there much quicker at 5 years old!

Looking for a Chrysler?

With the cost of rising fuel prices, everybody is looking to get the better bang for their buck in their car. Many are beginning to sell or trade in their gas guzzlers so that the price at the pump won't put a hole in their pockets too much. There are many dealers on the internet that give us price quotes, research a car's history, or perhaps compare prices. It's hard to choose exactly just one since there are so many choices.

For those who live in the Quakertown Pennsylvania area, there is a
Sands Brothers Chrysler that can assist residents in finding their next car if they are looking for a Chrysler model. Having a dealer nearby and on the internet can make it easier to make a decision without the hassle of researching all of the other dealers on the net.

Sands Brothers Chrysler offers new car quotes, used car deals in which residents can look for cars in their area, and research to help a possible buyer make a decision about purchasing a new car or truck.

Check out their website to find their location on the map if you are interested in seeing what
Sands Brothers Chrysler has to offer.

Life Insurance for Seniors

It is important for seniors to have health and life insurance to cover their needs for their overall health and any life changes or emergencies that should come along. Health insurance can be costly and even put a hole in seniors who live on fixed incomes. Some may only have Social Security benefits as their only income. Seniors shouldn't have to worry about any other expenses being a burden to their family members when they can obtain the proper care and insurance that is needed. With the high living costs that people must pay today such as rising fuel and food prices, it makes it hard to try to budget the things that are necessary for life. And sometimes those things that are necessary for life such as health or life insurance, can be a high expense for some.

One company, American United Health Insurance Company, is making this possible for seniors. They used to just operate only in Texas when there were founded in 1947 but now they operate out of 49 states and also in Canada and the District of Columbia.

Some of the services that United American Insurance Company provides are:
  • Health Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Cancer/Critical Illness Insurance
  • Medicare Supplement
  • Medicare Part D plans
  • Group Retiree Plans
If you feel like you, or if you know someone who could benefit from these services and are without proper care of life insurance, check out American Health Insurance at:

Craigslist.org Vs. Ebay.com: Which One is Better to Sell Your Old Prized Possessions On?

It's true that one person's trash is another person's treasure. Individuals are always looking for a place to sell or throw away old possessions and clothing. Sometimes we take them to local charities, and of course, others may end up in the garbage somewhere in the dumpster. Then we wonder, why throw all of those once prized possessions away, when we can make a profit off of these items? Our minds start brainstorming with ideas of garage sales, Internet sales, or taking them to consignment shops. But theses days, people want a fast way to get rid of all of their old stuff and consumers want a quick sale.

It's all about time and money in the 21st century. One of the best ways to rid us of all of our old junk is to sell it on the Internet. First we must find an affordable listing that will allow us to make a profit to sell our items. We don't want profits to just pay for the listing-as we put a lot of hard work and effort into making this prized possession something to sell. It was our own possession for years, and now it will be something new to someone else. When trying to find a place to sell on the Internet, we want to find something that is either free to list, or maybe won't cost us an arm and a leg to sell. Two wonderful places to begin your selling ventures are Ebay.com and Craigslist.org.

Of course, each website has it's positives and negatives. It will be up to the seller of how they feel each website would benefit themselves and their profits, but it will also matter how much time and money that it will consume as well. If you are selling any article of clothing, antiques, an old car, or actually any kind of household item, you could begin your journey with Ebay. Ebay will allow your item to be seen by millions of people every day. You can decide to list your item anywhere between three to seven days. You can choose from pre-designed templates or create your own. Transactions are pretty much taken care off, and once an item has been sold, all you must do is make sure you collect your money and ship the item to its new rightful owner.

Also, if you have many items that you would like to sell, you could save money by opening a store. Pay one price of about fifteen dollars a month to have your own Ebay store, or you could list your own items individually as "auction style." Depending on the extra listing accessories you choose from, your listing could cost as much as fifty five cents to over two dollars each. How you decide to present your listing is completely up to you. Also, you pay for your listing fees upfront, and then once your item sells, you must pay a final value as well. So when you list your items, you must at least consider what you will be paying out to Ebay as well. More than likely, your payments are going to cover the advertising that your ad will do on Ebay, which is why sometimes it could be a good idea to pay a bit for your auctions.
